Planting Day (Part 1)

The oysters have grown so quickly this summer! On September 15, the oysters from the Hempstead Harbour Club and Sea Cliff Yacht Club were planted in Hempstead Harbor with the help of volunteers from the two clubs. A massive thank you to everyone who helped with preparing the oysters from 16 cages for planting!

Both clubs had oysters measuring over 5 cm! They were more than ready to be planted where they will continue to grow and provide amazing benefits to the harbor.
